December17

I just realized that I haven’t been posting about food for quite a while, it’s always been my thoughts and feelings and it made me felt that, my blog has lost the spark where I would be tempting my friends at odd hours when they come to my blog.

So here comes, something about food! V Actually nothing big la, just something simple I whipped up for tonight’s dinner. I was at Queensbay Mall earlier to meet up with Hugo for lunch, and he literally dragged me to Jusco to stock up on groceries because I was running low and I was to lazy to be going grocery shopping alone. I’ve been delaying my restocking for quite some time actually! ) And yea, I’d rather stay at home than going out makan alone.

Back to the main topic, tonight’s dinner is something quite weird actually. I don’t know whether it’s Japanese or whatever, more like a fusion to me! Well, we have fried udon noodles with miso and enoki bacon! Udon is my favourite noodle ever because it’s so tangy and creamy like, and the miso is actually a gift to me from a Korean Restaurant where I dined for dinner.  It’s not the usual salty miso though, it’s sweet miso. So a little dash of Japanese soy sauce will do the trick for the soybean paste. Even Lim Ah Meow is going gaga for my dinner. =))

Another thing is the enoki bacon, which is really damn omfg simple to do. You just go to your local deli and buy some bacon, preferably streaky and not back because streaky has more fat and the flavour is definitely more intense. So yea, go streaky! And buy some enoki, which is also called the golden needle mushroom because they look as such and they are really easy to come by. Once you have the two ingredients, you just wrap the enoki with the bacon and pierce it with bamboo sticks and fry it on a hot pan.

Voila, easy peasy enoki bacon! OMG why do I sound like some chef right now.

Ahahaha I’m turning domestic somebody help me , I actually do enjoy cooking really just that I never had the heart to blog about my cookings. Maybe I’ll start someday.

And someday isn’t now. Enjoy making your enoki bacon, you’ll loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!

Without even noticing, I just wrote a 400 word essay on my dinner.
