*pout*

that I have abandoned blogging.

Well, what can I say, been so occupied with assignments and stuffs lately that I hardly even have time to stay at home to relax and chill, let alone exercise during my free time! I miss going hiking and also morning walks because I’ll be sleeping like a pig to even wake up for an exercise.

I’m nearing to the end of my first semester, hurray but as the usual thing that comes along towards the end, datelines to be met and also miscellaneous matters to attend to. I now have 3 cars at home to choose from to drive out, with most of my family members being in Taiwan at the current moment. I’m slowly and surely catching up with my studies, not to say that I’ve been a laggard but my head seems to be still up in the clouds.

Anyhoo, I’ve done something I never thought I’ll be doing.

Gaming.

Yes gaminggggggggggggggggg! As in feeding evil cybercafe’s with money that kinda gaming.

Left4Dead at several Netcity’s in Penang to be exact. -.-”

Left4Dead :D

Well let’s see, I started a week ago and now after a week, I’ve spent around accumulatively 10 hours on gaming. In a way it’s really a stress relief therapy because being a survivor or an infected and killing the enemy just feels so good nyahahahahahaha!

But overall I think the best part about gaming is, playing with my classmates. Most of the time it would be from 6 to 8 of us, and we’ll kill each other in the game and seriously it feels damn good. Although, I prefer being a zombie and ambushing the survivors. Hunter Hunter Hunter, my favouriteeeeeee! Anyone up for Left4Dead call me yea, and I’m not very good in it, so don’t go all hissy on me.

Other than being stressed with assignments, gaming for stress relief and making USM my next home, life has been pretty peaceful although hectic. I’ve learned to feel what it’s like being an adult with commitments and responsibilities, like controlling my spendings, taking care of Lim Ah Meow, doing house chores, keeping everything in my life in control etc. It’s alot of work but I’m learning a great deal from it.

So that’s about what’s happening so far, and I was a unpaid labor at PISA last week for The Star Education Fair, for KDU la of course. Honestly speaking, I thought that the broadcast journalism activity we offered there was kinda, lame. The response was low and the camera kept dying, and the stupid Mac kept hanging! And there was no tripod so we had to carry the video camera all the time, but one thing kept me happy there, which was Pleo!

Pleo :)

It’s so cuteeeeeeeee and I told the Pensonic personnel that I wanna throw Lim Ah Meow out and bring Pleo back instead. And the personnel told me, she’ll be bringing Pleo to KDU’s open day this month! So I might just kidnap Pleo and bring it to class, who knows? For those who doesn’t know what’s Pleo, it’s a robotic dinosaur pet with motion sensors all around it’s body and an infrared sensor on top of it’s nose, and it acts like an actual pet. Without the peeing and pooping of course.

Pleo :)

So yea, that’s how I spend my weekend. Unpaid labor but I had fun. One of the funniest moments was seeing my friends and Hugo, who kept joining the Spin and Win contest. Basically, all you need to do is pay RM 1.50 and you’ll get a copy of the day’s Star newspaper and a magazine, be it Galaxie, Flavours, Kuntum or Shanghai with an entry form for the Spin and Win contest. My friends actually bought several copies just for the form resulting my little tiny counter bombarded with newspaper and magazines, it looked like some small scale recycling counter!

Some of my friends actually won two iPod shuffles, Firefly tickets to Medan, GSC movie vouchers and KDU notebooks and calculator. I spun the damn wheel and what did I get? A KDU calculator and a KDU notepad. Sedih sial.  So I tutup kedai and went back to my counter and play with Pleo while Hugo was aiming for the iPod shuffle for me but luck wasn’t on our side, we didn’t get it.

Let’s see what shall I blog next, probably my Langkawi trip although it’s long overdue. But still better late than never!

Love :)

and it’s not the reason that you think it is. It has no romantic element in any sort of way, but a lot moolah is involved.

Well if you haven’t know, the reason I was occupied and hadn’t had the chance to write was because I was operating a handmade accessories stall in college for a week. I had tons of fun doing it by the way.

I could probably say I’m the most semangat member of them all because I would wake up at 7.45 am to get ready and reach college at 8.30 am to set up. The process of convincing my team members was a little hard at first, there were doubts but I was convinced that this idea would work, and I’m happy to say it went well with extraordinary outcome. Thanks people!

I’d always wanted to operate a stall selling handmade accessories as I started doing all this sorta thing since 2006 but I would only sell it to close friends, classmates and friends because I lack the initiative of going forward since I’m a one man band. But this time, I had help so it’s a lot easier and the money we all spent at the beginning made us doubtful whether could we gain it back, but thank you my loyal customers for supporting us!

materials :)

We had quite an array of things at our stall, ranging from bracelets of various designs to handmade rings, necklaces, earrings. With materials from plastic beads, clay flowers, Swarovski crystals, stone beads, and all sorts of recycled items from our own collection.

And although it was meant to be a Valentine’s sale, it was more like a sale for all since we had all sorts of people buying from us; from office ladies buying for themselves and friends, guys buying for their girlfriends, girls buying for themselves and buying the same thing with their friends as friendship gestures, and most of them bought a few things at once, and even came back few hours later to check out new stuffs that we have.

Valentine's Sale :)

And I think our group made a good effort in servicing the customers. We explain the processes of making the things we have on the table and offer free adjusting services in case it doesn’t fit, we even recommended accessories that would match our individual customers. Basically, we would like our customers to be free to choose the designs they like. So we got them to choose the materials they wanted on their bracelet or ring or earring and we would do it for them. For a very low price actually.

The most expensive item we have in our stall was only a RM18 bracelet, the rest was not more than RM12. As I’ve said during the sale, all things are priced at student’s price as it is made by students for students.

The customers flow at our stall was pretty overwhelming also, all of us didn’t have time to go for lunch or take a short break (except for ENRIQUE TAN KIM HOCK who is constantly missing) as the customers kept coming again and again with more people. I guess people do love our affordable one of a kind accessories.

Group Photo :)

When it was time to close down for the last time and as I was counting the money we made on the last day, adding it to the money we’ve made from the previous days, I felt a little bit sad as I really enjoyed my time as a stall operator, though I’ve been neglecting my other studies and even Lim Ah Meow, who jumped off the balcony (to my horror) and she survived la, gatal.

I could see that most of my classmates had bittersweet times in closing down and tearing down their stuffs, because I can see a lot of people had fun as it was sorta like a short escape from the stress of other subjects. So now it’s back to reality, boohoo!

I wouldn’t mind operating a stall again really, who knows it’ll be my future occupation instead of communication?

No that’s not my new hairstyle, although I’d wish it was because it looked so cool!

Anyhoo, Today was a good day for me.

It was a long day of classes but it was so relaxing, ironically. Must be the holiday mood bumming from everyone I guess. And throughout the first half of the day, my class was scheming for an ambush birthday party for Mark the lecturer. Before his class began, we decorated the class with balloons, armed ourselves with party poppers, vandalized the whiteboard and evacuated the class with the doors locked.

We went into hiding in another class and kept an eagle eye on his whereabouts, as soon as we saw him walking to the classroom, assuming that we’re in class waiting for him, he had the shocked face as to why the door was locked, lights off and nobody was in it.

So as soon as he got the keys and got in, we all sprung into class and first thing he said to us was “assholes”, wtf and FYI it’s prerequisite for vulgarities in class, just to spice things up. So now you pretty much know where my corruptedness comes from. Oh yea, we had a wig for him to wear, the purple one in my picture. He’s bald so we thought we could help him let his hair down but to no avail HE WOULDN’T WEAR THE WIG even after a drunk classmate, Diana Teh who was actually semi drunk because of the cake kept pestering and singing “wear the wig, wear the wig!”

But overall it was a nice little party, we got him two books as a gift and he made us sign the books as rememberance.

On another note, which was damn crazy when I was buying some lemon cake from the cafeteria, this Chinese Chef Student was ta pau-ing my cake and he was too shy to look me in the eye and suddenly came another freakin’ tall African chef student with skin like the tar road saying “Eh you should put more strawberries on the cake, for a beautiful girl give her more strawberries” and suddenly, all three people behind the counter was staring at me wtf. And he went on to say “You see she’s wearing an elephant on her neck, from my country so go on, give her more strawberries” and the next thing, his friends was giving him the “shifty” stare and I just asked them to quickly give me the damn cake so that I can leave and eat my cake.

So yea, luckily he didn’t bother or notice that the “elephant on my neck” was actually ivory, so please don’t whack me next time you see me okay. I’m innocent!

On another another note, I’m going home tomorrow! As in Ipoh home, home. Plus plus plus I’m bringing Lim Ah Meow back home too! She’s gonna celebrate her first Chinese New Year in Ipoh! And she’s been snacking so much bak kua with me, it’s a little ridiculous. I’ve been buying bak kua for 2 days straight, I’m so addicted to the extend that, I’m snacking on bak kua while I’m driving! Even at home; bak kua with bread, bak kua salad or bak kua on it’s own! :T

Lastly, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into those arrowhead a.k.a nga ku chips!

January9

Firstly, and yes I know I am really late by that but still Happy New Year everyone!

My year ended by well, just normal. No parties nothing big. It does seem like, as we get older, the more domestic we do get, no more wanting to just be out there for the sake of being out there. I just stayed at home during the eve, ordered in Domino’s and walked over to Gurney Plaza to watch Australia and when the movie finished it was already 12.23am. And I gave Hugo a small peck on the cheek for the New Year, just for luck.

If you must know about my absence from my blog, it’s due to that I started my degree right smack before 2008 ended and work just came pouring in. Yes I’m back to the study life now, yay! And classes have been good, been enjoying myself pretty much although the extensive deliberations does suck out the fun from it. Numerous readings doesn’t help either, I can’t finish Breaking Dawn like how I speedily did with the previous three books!

It’s my first time taking 5 subjects ever, and so far it’s been okay la although alot of research and readings needed to be done and the endless discussion OMG bananas! It might sound a mouthful but the subjects are Introduction to Human Communication, Communication Technology (which we got to watch Eagle Eye in class! ), Entrepreneurship, Social Development and Planning and Evaluation of Communication Campaign. And my classmates are well, pretty vocal which makes the classes all the more interactive!

Other than that, I’m happy that Chinese New Year is coming soon! The fooooood is simply making me droolalalalala especially things like those arrowhead chips! Damn those roots of an addictive munch! Plus the usuals la, meeting relatives and kena interviewed about the usuals; ada bf or not, studying what ah, how long to go ah, yidi yada yada.

And I miss my doggies and Ett Ett! Haven’t seen them since eons. Darn Louie for losing almost all of his teeth, guess he needs to survive on porridge instead of dog biscuits and rice.

Speaking of pets, Lim Ah Meow is doing good here too! She’s as hyperactive as always, extremely cuddly and she’s beginning to pack on the weight! She gets so excited whenever the fridge is open, or whenever I’m cooking at the kitchen. I now have a special cat bed and a scratching post for her too! Will try to upload a video of her playing with the scratching post soon, it’s ganas! V

July15

Just so you know, I am not dead and not dying too. Just a tad too busy to be updating.

Today begins the final finals of my college life, and I am ecstatic!

And after I am done with my finals, I shall reward myself with a pair of pretty Crocs!

Once this is all done, I shall begin planning and packing and I’m off to KL and to JUICE! Yours truly will be positioned as an Editorial/Writer Intern for 3 months beginning on the 18th of August till the 14th of November.

Did I mention I’ll be working in Midvalley, as in the shopping mall? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
