December15
I think I should probably write this down while the memory is still fresh in my mind.

No doubt I had my teen years numbered down to hours, it was bittersweet really where I felt like I was aging tremendously quick or something but I still felt the sense of maturing. My birthday was a quiet intimate affair, didn’t do anything big or drastic like years before. Just reminiscing, talking and behaving like how adults should be. However the main highlight of the day was definitely waking up late for Starwalk, scrambling the hood for a good parking space till I yelled at Hugo to just sumbat his car at the corner of the junction because we were like 15 minutes late. And that’s the beginning of a memorable birthday.

As usual, I would have the problem of navigating inside PISA because it would normally be so crowded and the claustrophicness in me would kick in, but this time it was a breeze because everyone had started. I’m proud to say that this year in Starwalk, I never felt an inch of fatigue and my stamina improved very very very much compared to the last few years that I’ve been participating. Although wearing my Malindi Crocs was probably a big no no because I had a tiny blister, should’ve stuck to my Fila’s instead.

My walk started off really good because the road was absurdly clear, there were only about 5 Starwalkers in sight, and the morning weather was simply beautiful. Cooling breeze, no hazardous traffic, clear roads ahead, the sun was being kind to us too, just a beautiful morning to be walking. I was tempted to lie down on the floor for a quick photo but with policemen in sight, I was afraid they might’ve thought that I fainted or something and they would come rushing, so I etched the thought out. V

Our pace was quick and consistent and within 15 minutes of power walking and also enjoyind the view while going ahead, we soon caught up with the big crowd and we were set to potong many many many people in front. During the walk, I encountered quite a few funny things that kept my giggling; a lady in her 40’s walking with ankle length heel boots, and jeans. A family of probably 5 to 6 members, pushing baby trams along the way and when they got to the hill path of the walk at Jalan Tengah, it was ridiculously hilarious seeing how they needed to keep jogging to refrain the baby tram from rolling down. It was really nice to watch! Plus Starwalkers who stopped by at coffee shops for breakfast and convenient stores to grab some light food to bite while walking, what the fish ler ).

I am also very proud to say that I finished the walk slightly under 2 hours. Big improvement personally! I started around 7.40 am and I finished approximately at 9.16 am! And no major muscle aches too, not like the previous years where I can’t even climb up the stairs after the walk.

And after Starwalk it was just a day of rest, as I’ve already had a nice pre-birthday celebration. This year I didn’t have a birthday cake, but I had many many birthday cakes, slices to be exact. As a kid you would want a whole cake for your birthday, but as I grew up I began to opt for the more feasible option.  B-) I picked a few slices from Ritz Bakery and with that, I get to taste different cakes at once instead of just having one flavour. And both pre birthday and the actual day’s dinner was perfect. It was just a nice time to chat, hang out and be merry. It wasn’t a huge fiesta or party like how other people celebrated, I liked mine because it’s just simple and relaxing.

Other than that, I’ve gotten numerous wishes from friends and family which couldn’t come at a better time, because I was dead beaten tired after Starwalk and my phone wouldn’t stop ringing! So thank you everyone for rejoicing that I am no longer a teenager , I’ve joined the ranks of my siblings and cousins as young adults, the becoming of age. OMG. :-S

Never mind that I didn’t get much presents, in fact I didn’t get any present at all except for Hugo’s and my mum’s, I had a greatttt birthday this year! I find it, at least for me la, as I get older I tend less hope for more and be satisfied with what I have and that’s what I did this year. And I didn’t even make a wish this year, maybe I’ll think about it and see what can I wish for.

With that all said and done, I wish myself a very Happy Birthday!

As the title says, yes it is about Bak Kut Teh. Hugo was supposed to return to Penang last Saturday BUT I managed to make him stay for another day! And we were talking about a bak kut teh breakfast/lunch/dinner since eons ago but it never ceases to happen because there’s always something coming up along the way. This time, I just went on calling anyone who’s interested and off we go for some bak kut teh! Klang here we come! V

Meet the organizing committee!

Lo and behold, the main star of the day.

I find the bak kut teh in Klang pretty different from the ones I had in Ipoh. It’s not as garlicky and heavy on the Chinese herbs, and the soup is much thicker too. The meat was not very chewy too, very tender! I like it although, I’m still dying to try out the dry bak kut teh!

Among the people who joined us from Cyberjaya, Jessica. V

Mr.Steven Tan, also from Cyberjaya.

Mr.Ricky Tan Tiong Tiong who parked his car at my place.

And me, Ms. berposer poser.

Last but not least, Mr.Hugo Babi who sinks like a rock while swimming.

It was a quick dinner for us because, we were the last customers. They started closing after we arrived so it’s abit paiseh to be lingering that long for dinner. Dinner was reasonable, only RM 8.20 per pax of 2 pots of Bak Kut Teh! And it was off to Jusco Bukit Tinggi for Eagle Eye after dinner! Very nice show, totally made me go :o! And that was the end of a nice mini holiday.

It just hit me that it won’t be soon before long that my tenure at JUICE ends, I still remember how stressed and frustrated I was when I started, all because I don’t feel like I belong. Now, it’s totally a reversed aura. I don’t feel like I wanna leave. The experience has been so good to me, sometimes it makes me think that I’m a completely different person now. And being at lost of what to do after my internship isn’t exactly helping either, I’ve been dwelling about my future plans for the longest time and I still have yet to come to a decision. All I’ve been telling myself is, I need time to think. And still I need more time.

To study, or to work. That is the question.

I’m back after a 5 day hiatus, and it’s been a good mini break for me! Although I didn’t return to my hometown(s), I didn’t spend my holiday being a bum at home. Hugo came up on the first day of Raya and we went on a shopping spree, and I bought the dress I’m wearing in the picture! Plus, in the 5 days we travelled to quite a few places around KL just for food and touring around. Oh yea, been swimming alot at the apartment too! V Saddest case is, Mr.Hugo Lim Dot Com sinks like a rock in the pool. Sedihnya. =))

Meet the organizing committee.

Of my 5 days, the biggest and best part of all is, the karaoke session with my friends at Redbox, The Curve! It was a joint venture of Anna and I, out of the blue we just spur the idea of organizing a karaoke session since everyone’s on a break. And planning an outing as such isn’t easy with typical Malaysians giving excuses like “I can’t confirm yet”, “see how”, “don’t know free or not” that kinda shindig. Very the sweat can. I’ve been plurking to get responses and it all ends up in no avail, and on the day itself, a few unexpected guests such as Joshua and Daniel popped up. Of course I was happy, but yet another Joshua decided to give me the aeroplane because he forgot! x(

But the outing went nicely well, and we occupied the VIP room with an additional RM4 charge per person. But we had a 4 hour karaoke session, so it was pretty great. I haven’t had fun like this in a long long long time. And if you all hadn’t known, the food in Redbox is forever terrible. Sucksssss x infinity.

And now meet the people that made the outing happening.

Top L-R: Aaron Chua , Wai Seng, David Chong, Andrew Wong, Joshua Ong
Seated L-R: William Leong, Anna Lee, Me!, Hugo Lim, Daniel Chew, Ricky Tan

I don’t know but there’s so many expressions in this picture, it’s just funny!

So, to end this post I hope you guys had a good Raya break like I did. And now it’s back to reality where work continues to stress our eyeballs out.

For those who knows Jason, or simply known to us as JJ please wish him a speedy recovery okay!

And for those who doesn’t know him, he’s a friend of mine who was recently involved in a motorbike accident and he had to be in surgery for a slight splinter, resulting in 4 screws embedded into his butt. I haven’t seen him for a long time since I came to KL but I would always bump into him back then when I was a faithful patron of GSC in Gurney Plaza. And it’s crappy enough that I couldn’t visit him in the hospital but I’ll definitely be wishing for him to get well a.s.a.p!

So you CHEAP ONE, get well soon okay coz’ I still wanna challenge you in DDR! V

PhotobucketYes, last Saturday wasn’t enough.
Another round this time, it’s at the other end of Kerachut. Very nice.

Photobucket

The hike was much more challenging than Kerachut, alot of rocks and steep slopes.
Nevertheless, it was fun although I did fell flat on my chest.

While I was trying to descend from a big rock.

Photobucket

The atmosphere was calm, unlike Kerachut where it was crowded.
Elaine, Lettecia, myself, Abigail, Ruth & Kxin (the cameraman) were having a blast.

Some of us were catching crabbies and some were rescuing a birdie by the sea.
We had a small picnic and card playing session before heading back.

The hike this time was alot longer and further than Kerachut.
We were dead tired and we decided to take a boat ride back instead of hiking.

Photobucket
Best thing is, we have signals on our cellphones here where as there’s none in Kerachut!
And there I was, being interrogated on what where when who why and how by a certain someone.

Photobucket
Have I told you I love my pair of Crocs? Haha, kidding.
Sitting on the boat made me miss Redang like crazy, I miss snorkelling, the crystal blue water.

And to end this post, enjoy a little Bollywood classic remake.
Let’s just called this, Monkey Beach Na Ho.
